Support Refugee Families Through Downtown Crossing

Want to join in making a difference? Support Downtown Crossing, a group of church members, in raising money to benefit refugee families in the Nashua community. All donations will be used to assist refugee families as they become acclimated to their new life in the U.S. Funds will be utilized to assist families for specific needs such as English language classes, driver's education, and rental assistance. Any donation will help make an impact. Our refugee families: 

Since 2007, Downtown Crossing has assisted nearly 100 refugee families who were relocated to Nashua, NH by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). These families come from many different parts of the world, such as Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nepal, and others, searching for a better life free of violence and oppression. Downtown Crossing supports the difficult resettlement process for these refugee families by providing community support and financial assistance as they become acclimated to their new life in the United States.

Why Support Downtown Crossing: 

Downtown Crossing will collect all donations and utilize them to assist refugee families for a specific need. These needs include:

-Transportation costs for medical appointments, English language classes, etc.;
-Supplementing the tuition of driver's education classes;
-Seasonal clothing;
-Purchase of gently-used furniture and household items;
-Rental and utility assistance;
-And other unexpected expenses.

Your tax-deductible  donation will ensure that families' stress of resettlement can be somewhat alleviated and focused on other long-term priorities such as securing stable employment and enrolling their children in school.
