Party In The Town 2019 needs your help...
Thank you so much for supporting the festival we all know and love and which brings so much great live music, great food and community buzz into Totnes for one day.
The festival was a great success, and we have a lot of bills to pay, please help us if you can. Every little counts!
Party In The Town brings our creatively rich market town of Totnes alive for a day. There is something about this event that makes people light-up, let go and come into their own. The mix of great local music and food and a feeling of good-will means people really relax and enjoy themselves.
A small and energetic team of people came together and formed a CIC to curate another special, intimate and vibrant festival of music in nine of our splendid Totnes venues.
This year we were as eco-friendly as possible and we achieved a 50/50 gender balance with a programme of brilliant local musicians of all ages and genres and a focus on creativity and original music. The spirit of the festival was Music For Wellbeing and this was reflected in a lot of our sharing, including some brilliant workshops on the day.
What makes this festival special? It’s the feeling that everyone is on board for throwing one of the best parties in England. We have all the ingredients that make a one-day town festival ignite: a superb team, a town that really wants it, a deep well of good will amongst artists and venues and an ethos that sets it apart.
Add to that the magic of inclusivity, well-being balanced with having a good time and knowing that the music and performances will be top-notch served by the best available sound and visuals. We think, and deeply believe that we pretty much nailed it.
