Support Lizzie Arnold! Medical Fund

Donation protected
Spartan Cheerleader and Chess Player, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Arnold, junior at CHS, has been diagnosed with high grade, Stage 3 Dysgerminoma cancer. This cancer is an ovarian cancer that affects teen girls in their development.  After what was to be a normal well check by her doctor, she was sent to have an ultrasound and labs here in Corvallis. The ultrasound showed a mass in her abdomen and her labs showed some markers for possible cancers.

A week later she was sent to Legacy's Randall Children's Hospital in Portland for an MRI and a surgical consult. It was there that Lizzie learned she would have to have the mass removed to be biopsied.

On Valentine's Day the doctors removed a cantaloupe-sized tumor on her left ovary and took her other ovary... but they got it ALL! From the biopsy she learned she did in fact have cancer, Stage 3 Dysgerminoma. Even though all of the mass was removed, she will need to undergo 4-6 rounds of Chemotherapy. This could last through June. The medical bills will begin piling up for the family and this is a positive means to help alleviate those bills so that they can concentrate on Lizzie being a healthy teenager.

Lizzie has been undergoing Chemotherapy since March and will not be able to go back to school this year, and may not finish her Junior year.

She has been so very blessed by the support from the students, faculty and staff at CHS. For this it truly keeps her Spartan Spirit up!
