Support Kate as she fights Breast Cancer!
Donation protected
On the 16th November, my 28-year-old sister Kate was diagnosed with Stage 2 – Invasive Breast Cancer. As you can imagine, this has come as a devastating shock to our family, Andy and her friends.
Kate will undergo a double mastectomy on 12 December. To follow on from surgery, Kate will have to endure radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. But before Kate has surgery and begins treatment, she has begun the process with Melbourne IVF to preserve/freeze her eggs for the future as these types of treatments can lead to infertility and early onset of menopause. This of course comes with ongoing costs.
Hoping she doesn’t loose her hair during the chemo process but if she does, Kate would like to get a wig to keep things as normal as possible for her son and herself if she was to leave the house.
With your help, we are hoping to ease some of the financial stresses Kate and her family will face over the coming months. Unfortunately, with a myriad of appointments, Kate has already exhausted her sick leave and has minimal annual leave left to see her through what will be a tough year ahead.
All contributions, no matter how big or small are appreciated beyond any of us can ever put into words.
All funds will go directly to Kate, so all medical and other personal costs can be taken care of as she will be out of work for quite some time post surgery and has a little boy she also needs to care for.
Thank you and God bless.
