Hey everyone! Thanks for visiting.
I’m setting up this page to support friends of mine as their daughter Imogen age 5 is currently undergoing treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) and this isn’t the first time parents Claire & Michael have faced Leukaemia. Imogen’s older sister Lacey now a healthy 8 year old beat Acute Myeloid Leukaemia after a diagnosis at only 8 months old. Completely unrelated and quite unbelievable.
At the moment the family are splitting their time between hospital and home making it difficult for them to work, Michael a self employed builder and Claire a self employed cake baker & chip shop ‘quine’. Imogen’s treatment will last a further gruelling 2.5 years from now and has currently moved to higher intensity Chemo, Regimen C. The purpose of this page is to relieve financial pressures during this time. Any contribution great or small will make a difference.
I’m setting the bar high because I truly believe they deserve it and the broch community has a big heart! Donations may even come from further afield with some social media shares ❤️
Here are a few examples on what contributions will go towards:
Fuel costs, one return trip to hospital is 85 miles.
Emergency admissions on non scheduled hospital days or having to return again on the same day.
Wasted Food/Meals on emergency admission days.
Food costs at the hospital cafe.
4g on Imogen’s new ipad for her long car journeys and to watch in hospital.
Hospital TV.
Home bills when income isn’t quite enough to have them covered.
These ongoing extra expenses will continue to be incurred as Imogen continues on her 2.5 year journey. Any monies raised above target I’d like Claire & Michael to use for a family holiday when Imogen is either well enough to leave the country or is in remission, at which point this page will then be closed for donations. Those still wishing to donate to the cause after this point can donate via one of two charity boxes at Fraserburgh Beach Cafe for Logan’s Fund and Abbies Sparkle charities chosen by the family.
