The Detroit Spartans Basketball coaches along with family and friends are raising funds to ensure that all players regardless of economic status have the opportunity to compete and gain valuable exposure to college scouts, and recruiters, thus making scholarship opportunities available to our players. Therein, lies the catch: we all need opportunity!
The Detroit Spartans Basketball Club Travel Program was incorporated in 2000 and operates as a private, non-profit 501-C3.
The Detroit Spartans are scheduled to compete in the NCAA certified tournaments between July 8th, 2015 and July 19th 2015. Three teams of youths, ages 14-16, will be traveling from Michigan to Charlotte, North Carolina and Augusta, Georgia to compete in the ‘Battle of the Best Select Summer Showcase’ and the Peach State Basketball Tournament’. These talented young men, both academically and athletically worked hard all season for this opportunity. Please show them your support by donating and sharing this link.
Our goal is to raise $4000+ to help the team with travel expenses, lodging, food and operating cost. All funds raised go directly to our program as our coaches, managers, and mentors are NON-PAID, dedicated volunteers. We will gladly accept any corporate or personal donations. Upon request we will happily provide any additional information regarding our program. Tax Payer Id # available upon request.
