Support for Valerie Barrantes

Donation protected
Valerie was first admitted to the hospital on December 26th, 2016. Her symptoms didn't seem to make any sense (even to the doctors) and she wasn't responding to the standard medications.

After over a month without answers, the doctors finally found a diagnosis. Valerie has an extremely rare auto-immune disorder that has basically put her into a coma. There is a known course of treatment, but it's unclear how long it will take her to recover. The doctors have estimated it could take anywhere from six months to a year. Her treatment has already taken her from Good Samaritan Hospital, to Stanford Hospital, and now to a long-term care facility about two hours away from home.

Justin and Valerie's family have been by her side constantly, while also trying to keep life as normal as possible for their children, Briana and Justin Jr., but it hasn't been easy. Valerie has always been so dedicated to her kids, family and friends. We all miss her presence, her laughter, and her warmth.

We humbly ask for any donations that you may be able to give to support Valerie and her family in these difficult times. Donations would be used for medical bills,  lodging and travel expenses for visiting Valerie. Donations would also be used to get her the best rehabilitation after waking up, and for any special medical equipment or medication to help her reach the smoothest recovery possible.
