Support for the Fisher Family

Our dear friends, the Fishers, have experienced a grave loss with the sudden, tragic death of husband and father, Ken Fisher. Ken had been suffering from depression these last few years and has passed by suicide. Debbie & Ken were married for 25 years. Debbie is suddenly a single mother of two teenage daughters, Karen (17) and Nancy (15), working part-time in ministry at First Christian Church of Huntington Beach.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it has also brought financial burdens. Ken had been the primary income earner for the family before he became unemployed five months prior to his death leaving behind no life or health insurance.
As a community, we want to help ease the stress on Debbie managing finances to care for her girls’ daily needs, medical costs, house repairs/maintenance, education needs, etc. during this very difficult time. FCC has been their church home for the past twelve years and they have devoted so much of their time to giving to others at church and in the community. We would love to come together to give back and support this beautiful family in their time of need.
They would be so thankful for any support the community could provide. Debbie and the girls are grateful for how First Christian Church has already come along-side the family with great love and support. We also encourage everyone to keep Debbie, Karen & Nancy in their thoughts and prayers.
