Terry Morgan is a survivor of incredible domestic violence. On the evening of Tuesday, February 28th, 2017, Terry was attacked in her home by the father of her three youngest children, George Prifti. George shot Terry from 3 feet away in the chest with a shotgun, in front of their youngest daughter, 19. After Terry was shot, she was able to wrestle the gun from George and hide it next to her body.
Their daughter called 911 during the incident and George was taken into custody and Terry was taken to the hospital.
The bullet ripped through Terry's diaphragm, completely shattering it, split her liver into 3 sections and fractured multiple ribs. Terry was taken into surgery immediately and they were able to remove the bullet and repair the diaphragm and liver successfully.
Terry is currently recovering in the ICU. Although further tests are in progress to determine if the fragments of bullet still in her body will present any further damage, the outlook for her physical well being is positive.
Terry is an incredibly strong woman and mother who survived this horrible tragedy thanks to her strength and the bravery of her youngest daughter and local officers.
As a result of that night, Terry is going to need help with extensive medical expenses, lost wages, counseling services, and house bills while she recovers. The mother of 5, and the youngest 3 children still in the home, the family now have a father in jail and a mother hospitalized. Our goal is to provide this amazing family with relief from these financial burdens and give them all time to heal and move forward with their lives.
