On August 31st 2018, Lindsey and Alexis welcomed their first sweet baby girl, Margot, into the world.
Margot was born with TEF, a condition causing a connection between her esophagus and her lungs, causing anything she eats or drinks to go into her lungs. After a long 56 days in the NICU, and 4 surgeries later, they thought her problems were fixed. Unfortunately after a series of multiple ER visits, many long nights in the hospital, and an additional 6 surgeries, she is still experiencing complications. Thankfully they found resources in Boston with a team of medical experts to finally get answers. Upon arriving to Boston and meeting with the team, they were to learn that there were more underlying problems complicating baby Margot’s care than originally thought. In addition to being at nearly constant risk for aspiration, she also has severe tracheomalacia, which means her airway keeps collapsing. Although this wasn’t the news they were prepared for, they feel relief knowing they are in the hands of expert physicians and will get the life-saving surgeries she needs. Currently, she is planned for her major surgery on Thursday, April 25th in Boston.
Throughout this whole ordeal, baby Margot has kept her cheerful spirit and is full of smiles and laughter. She is such a strong and resilient little peanut.

Margot’s complex needs have required her parents (Lindsey and Alexis) to take time off work as well as significant financial cost associated with specialized treatments, surgeries, and travel.
