Wow. How do we begin. Jess and I have just welcomed our son, Jonah Robert, into the world ten weeks earlier than we planned. Jess very suddenly developed HELLP syndrome and after three agonizing days of high dose drugs of all kinds to prepare her and Jonah for an early delivery, he came into this world.
2 lbs, 4.7 oz and 14.5 inches long. A full head of black hair and breathing on his own (just a cpap to remind him to breathe). Born on Mom #2's 35th birthday at 6:22pm via emergency c-section.
So many of you offered up prayers and healing thoughts and we used them all up! Thank you for those. Many of you also asked if there was anything you could do to help. Since we didn't get a chance to do our baby showers, we are in the position of needing a lot of things for when Jonah comes home. And since he's a preemie, we just don't know what all he's going to need.
It will help us greatly if you could consider a monetary gift so that we can buy the things that we need at the time that we need them. This kid just keeps surprising us and we are just trying to keep up! This will also help us to be able to spend a little less time at work and more time with Jonah while he grows stronger in the NICU. That's the most important part!
