Late Thursday night/ Early Friday morning Chris suffered a massive stroke and was airlifted to Sioux Falls, South Dakota Friday evening where they did an MRI that showed us that she suffered three strokes.
The first stroke was massive and damaged the part of her brain that controls all her main organs. (Heart, liver, breathing, ECT.) The other two were smaller but still significant. She has no feeling on the left side. She can hear. She can use her right side. She can not speak.
Right now Chris has a brain monitor in that monitors the swelling in her brain and also has a drain put in to drain the fluid build up in her brain because her body is not doing it on its own. She also has a breathing tube in after she went into cardiac arrest Saturday late afternoon.
Right now we wait. The swelling will continue for the next couple days and then we will know more about what kind of road we are looking down.
The funds needed are substantial. The funds needed will go towards Chris medical bills, her possible therapy and in worst case scenario, a funeral, but most importantly money towards the family for living costs during this time. Right now the family has stepped away from work to be with Chris during this time. They will have food and hotel and flight costs during this difficult time plus being able to pay for there homes outside of the hospital.
