Hey guys,
My brother Samuel and his wife Julie gave birth to a handsome baby boy, Asher on Saturday September 15. He weighed 8 lbs 10 oz. he looks like a perfectly healthy baby but he was born with a congenital heart defect where his heart is reversed and he's missing arteries.
Before he was born the doctors thought he may only live a few days after birth and didn’t know if he’d survive any surgery they may have to do but after tests and altersounds on his heart they decided to send him to Toronto for surgery. The surgery he underwent was a very invasive open heart surgery that re-routed the circulation of his heart. It came with many risks and absolutely no guarantees.
He is now doing very well and is on a very long road to recovery.
My brother and his family would appreciate any help they can get.
