The opening ceremony to honor Alejandro will start at 9:45 am. Please arrive to the game early in order to be present for this special event.

This Sunday, May 21st, the San Jose Earthquakes and Santa Cruz Breakers Academy U18 and U16 teams will play their Academy games in Avaya Stadium to honor the memory of Alejandro Lopez, who played for both Academy clubs.
We encourage you all to attend these games to honor of Alejandro. Donations collected at the game will be given to support Alejandro’s family.
A special thanks to the San Jose Earthquakes for moving the games to Avaya Stadium for this event. As you know, this stadium is used exclusively for MLS and international soccer games.

Thank you for the continued messages of love and support. The services for Alejandro will be held tomorrow, May 14th, with the burial on Monday, May 15th.
Visitation will be held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 5 to 9pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm. Burial will take place on Monday, May 15th at 1pm. at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. For more information, see the Santa Cruz Sentinel's obituary.
Dear friends, it is with great sadness that we have learned of Alejandro's passing last night (5/8/17). He passed away peacefully in the presence of his family and loved ones.
His family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support you all have given in the days since the accident. They continue to need assistance with funeral and medical expenses, as well as your thoughts and prayers.
A donation of any size is greatly appreciated.

As many of you know, our dear friend and longtime Breakers Academy alum Alejandro Lopez suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident this week. He is currently in the hospital in critical condition.
One of the small ways our community can show our support to Alejandro and his family is through a donation to help cover the many medical expenses related to his recovery. Please consider donating what you can to help the family at this time.
Please keep Alejandro and his family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.
