Support Father of 3 Being Deported

Donation protected
On June 12th, 2017, my father Jacques Mirachian was detained by ICE.  After almost a year of being held at various ICE detention centers, he has been deported and is currently living in Lebanon, a country he has not previously seen since he was 16 years old. He is married to my mom and has three children who depend on him; we are all American citizens. He had lived in the United States for 30 years, the entirety of his adult life. This has been the most difficult and upsetting time in all of our lives. I started this GoFundMe as an attempt to help my mother and father. The funds collected here will go towards a variety of expenses including lawyer and legal fees and living expenses for my father as he tries to create a new life for himself in Lebanon. Feel free to read our story below.

My father was brought to America in April of 1988 by family escaping the civil war in Lebanon in hopes of finding a better life in America. He went to high school in Hollywood, California. He met and married my mom here in America and they raised all three of us children here. My dad is a great man who always worked hard to provide for our family, regardless of his citizenship status. His whole life here in America had been spent growing and raising our family with my mom. He is not a criminal, he is not a bad person. As a matter of fact, he is actually the most kind, caring, and light hearted man I know. He has an infectious personality that everyone in his life gravitates towards. Anyone who knows him would tell you what a great guy he is and how he always put the needs of others in front of his. Especially his family's. He is a hard working Dad who was ripped from his life and family. The fear of losing my father due to his immigration status has been a major worry in my family for as long as I can remember. Currently, we are all trying our best to survive what is easily our family’s worst nightmare come true.

My mom has been working extremely hard to keep us all going. She has been working crazy hours to try and keep our whole family afloat. We have quickly learned that the deportation process is not a simple one and it definitely is not a cheap one either. On top of trying to maintain our lives with HALF the previous household income, my mother now has many legal fees and other expenses she has to pay due to my fathers unexpected deportation. I can see the immense psychical and mental toll this has taken on her. We are currently stretched out as thin as possible financially.

My father has been living in Lebanon for a little bit over a month now. My mother has flown out to be with him for the month while he adjusts to his new living situation. My dad is trying to create and adapt to a new life in an unfamiliar setting. This is a new chapter in all of our lives that we are still trying very hard to get used to.

We would all like to say thank you again for the great amount of love and support that has been shown by our friends, family, and community. The help we have recieved from everyone has been heart warming and overwhelming. Thank you for being on this journey with us.
