Support Downtown Rising!

Working in partnership with the Pawtucket Arts Festival, Downtown Rising will serve as a culminating event, a musical celebration that will take place on the corner of East Avenue and lower Main Street in Downtown Pawtucket on September 22nd, 2018. The festival will run from 11am - 7pm, and its aim is to bring music, cultures, and families together in the heart of Rhode Island's Creative Community. There will be three stages consisting of the Culture Shock, River Bend, and Rocktucket stages. Various kinds of music will be presented on these three stages all day long, including: reggae, morna, afro beat, roots, folk, blues, alternative, singer-songwriter and bossa nova. Art installations, vendors, food trucks, classic cars, motorcycles, a beer garden and a skate park will all be on the premises, and integrated into the overall Downtown Rising event. There will surely be something for everyone!

In the spirit of community and grassroots organization, we are asking for your support. We are looking to raise $5,000 to cover the various costs associated with producing such an event. Security, stage & sound set up, barricades, insurance, licensing and various other expenses will all need to be covered to put on the kind of festival best representative of the diverse range of talents that exist within Pawtucket’s vibrant music and arts community. Please consider giving. The success of Downtown Rising is dependent on many small donations.  Any amount you can afford helps. It is the committee’s goal to turn Downtown Rising into a yearly event. Any sort of monetary donation helps and we truly appreciate the support.
