$8,211 of $10,000 goal

Clayton Hletko, a Retired Navy Veteran and Helicopter Pilot from Lake Stevens, WA crash landed his aircraft on Sauvie Island, OR on May 1st. He has sustained severe injuries and is still in the ICU in critical condition. The link to an article with more details is below.

The funds raised will help Clayton pay medical bills and expenses, and help facilitate moving his rented house as his lease expires at the end of June, and he will likely still be in the hospital.

Sydney Shackelford (Clayton’s SO) has moved back from Michigan to help Clayton work through his recovery, and we are so grateful to her!

Please support my brother Clayton however you can, even one dollar makes a difference!  http://katu.com/news/local/helicopter-crash-lands-on-sauvie-island

Family and Friends,
Clayton has dramatically improved in the last few days! He has his phone (probably not able to take calls since his voice is still recovering) feel free to reach out to him with your encouragement and well wishes! So many of you have come together to help him, and I am eternally grateful for your generosity and kindness. Clayton has made an impact on many of you throughout his adventures and it’s a testament to his character that he has such an incredibly supportive network of people in his life.
With gratitude,
Desiree

Family and Friends,
Excellent news! After 18 days in the ICU, Clayton has finally been transferred to the Trac-U for further recovery. He’s still recovering from pneumonia, but is getting stronger every day!
He will be doing physical therapy, speech therapy and eating as much as he can manage. Thank you all for your continued love and positive vibes!

Family and friends,
Great news, Clayton is off the ventilator and sedation and his pneumonia is clearing up fast! He’s been on a roller coaster for the last couple days, but he is doing much better tonight. He even was able to eat some Mac and Cheese with meatballs! Better than the canned stuff I’m sure :)
I thought you all would like to know he’s calm and in the best place possible, receiving top notch care. Once he is transferred out of the ICU, (hopefully soon!) we are planning to bring his doggies to him for a visit, they miss him so much and I’m positive it will bring him joy. Yay for puppy field trips!
Thank you all for your continued prayers and positive thoughts for Clayton!
With gratitude,
Desiree

Family and Friends,
Clayton has come down with pneumonia, and they are treating it with aggressive antibiotics which his doctors and nurses are confident will clear the infection. He’s finally calm and able to get some much needed sleep. Please continue sending your good positive vibes to my bro, I know they help so much. Our family is overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you who have helped him so far, and we are over 50% of our goal. Please if you find it in your heart to donate, every dollar adds up.
With gratitude, Desiree
