Founded by Laquavia Alston, Carolina Meurkens, and Maria Miller in 2017, An Indivisible Art Collective has grown into a flourishing community of NY/ DC local creatives. The collective is comprised of artists, poets, storytellers, musicians, and artisans, who are passionate about fostering a space for artistic connections, individual creative growth, and facilitating social justice through the arts. So far, An Indivisible Art Collective has successfully hosted five events at venues throughout DC and NY, all of which raised money for non-profits such as Physicians and Surgeons for Puerto Rico, ONE DC, and S.O.M.E.
In order to keep our community growing, we are in need of your help!
Our events have been privately funded thus far, but as our network has evolved our start- up costs have increased as well. Costs include rental fees, sound mixing and equipment, lighting, art supplies, event set up supplies, marketing and advertising, transportation expenses, licensing fees, payment to performers, etc. We appreciate any and all help to facilitate the growth of our community.
