Redeemer International School is a Charity in Ghana. This means that children can go to school there without paying school fees, while usually in Ghana families have to pay for school. This is only possible by the help of donations!
We will now be trying to raise funds in order to buy the school a School Bus so we can pick up and drop off our students in the surrounding villages. Often many of the children in towns near Anhwiaso cannot come to school each day as their parents don't have the money necessary for the fare to school and back. Once we have a school bus our schools enrollment will likely double and more and more students will get to receive the free education we offer.
The Redeemer Intermidiate School is an NGO operating out of the Adansi-Anhwiaso village in Ghana. Since 1994 it has been providing a free education to children ages 3-17 in the village and surrounding area. Since its creation the school has graduated hundred of students who have gone onto have meaningful lives and jobs all across the world! The school works together with international volunteers to help each child achieve their full potential, and has hosted over 50 volunteers from everywhere around the world.

The school was created by locals for locals! We currently have 5 full time teachers who live in Anhwiaso and have deep ties to the community they are trying to better! We believe that progress has to come from the ground up and while many NGOs goals are pure the way the organization is built is tainted...
While Ghana remains one of the fastest developing African countries, the Ashanti district is both the poorest and most populated district of Ghana. Life in rural Ghana is extremely difficult and most families will end up living off as little as $300 USD each year. The biggest industry is farming of the cocoa, and plantain trees. Since this work is very time consuming and physically demanding all members of the family, including the children, will help. Part of the Redeemer Schools mission is to go out into the community and try to get as many new students as possible. We talk with the parents of the children and try to help them to make the right choice for their child's future. English is the official language of Ghana but in many of the rural villages Twe remains the predominate language spoken, with just a handful of the villagers being able to speak and write in English. Working with our international volunteers we have been able to get dozens of students to a high school level of English speaking and writing. As English is used in all major professions and universities in Ghana the importance of this cannot be understated!
All funds donated will go DIRECETLY to our cause! There is no minimum amount to donate and each donation is a huge step in the right direction! A dollar goes a long way in Ghana!
