The hashtag is #doitforbrooke. Brooke is a 10 year old girl who is very poorly and needs specialist treatment.
Brooke has a tumour on her brain stem, a rare diagnoses and will need specialist treatment. One of the options is pioneering research that may take the family overseas.
There is a gofundme campaign to raise money to support Brooke's treatment and the target is set at £50,000. At the time of writing this, so far £40,000 has been raised. This separate gofundme page is set up so that we can be clear with how much money the team will have raised for Brooke's cause. This will then be sent to the family.
Brooke is local to the studio and some of our clients know her or her family personally. The money will be used to fund treatment, assist with living costs and by participating in the trial, will actually contribute to the continued fight to beat this for Brooke and other children too.
Project_R has a wonderful community of clients and as an effort to take advantage of our studio to help this cause, we will be performing a 24hr row on the rowing machine.
The event will be live streamed:
Starting Saturday 22nd June 12:00 noon
Finishing Sunday 23rd June 12:00 noon
We want to invite our clients and friends to take part in relay style and help us complete this huge event.
