Please help out my sons.
My name is Frank Dormer. On March 2, 2019, I lost my best friend and soulmate, Victoria Leigh Dormer. My sons Christopher, Samuel, and Max lost their mother. It was devastating, and unexpected. We are still grieving our loss. My wife was a bright sun on a cloudy day. I can’t think of anyone more loving and caring to anyone she met. She had a hug for everyone. She smiled all the time. She made a deep and lasting imprint on her children, me, and our community. Vicki was a faithful member of our local church, serving as deacon, Christian Ed director, Camp administrator, and steward of Killam’s Point, the church’s property in Branford, CT.
As we began our future without her, we tried to keep things as normal as possible. We took a vacation to our favorite place, Maine. We saw my oldest son transfer to the music education program at Western CT State University, after 2 years at the prestigious Berklee College of music. Our middle son, Samuel, began his academic journey at Hampshire College, a school Vicki knew our son wanted to attend. Sam has even said that he is getting his education in honor of his mother. Max continues to excel in the high school choir and drama program. Vicki did not live to see his first theatre performance in Titanic, but we knew she was watching from above with tears of pride and joy.
Fast forward 2 years. We are still getting over the loss and have been unable to sell our house before the bank took possession. I have been paying the balance of Christopher and Sam’s tuition myself. I now find myself in the awkward and humbling position of being unable to financially care for my children’s future. I am asking for help. For my and Vicki’s children. Anything you can do will be gratefully appreciated. Being unable to support my children’s dream is a special kind of hell for me. I know my wife is doing what she can in heaven, so I ask for any help you can give for us. Thank you.
