On behalf of our dearest friend Sally “Supa Sal” Bradley, we (her close friends) are asking for your help to support Sally and her son Dylan, through this extremely traumatic time that they are experiencing.
Much to our shock and deep sadness Sally suffered a debilitating stroke on Tuesday 9th October, due to a blood clot on the brain, which was caused by an undiagnosed irregular heartbeat.
Upon arrival at the RBH, Sally was operated on, the stroke has affected the use of the right side of her body, her speech, comprehension and movement which could take many months of rehabilitation. Doctors have advised she has a long road ahead.
It is absolutely heartbreaking to see Sally in her present condition. Our usual vivacious, smiling, super funny Sal is totally “broken’’. Fortunately Sal is still with us, however the road to recovery is going to be extremely hard work for her physically and emotionally. To compound this hard work that Sal is now facing, is the financial burden of every day bills that still need to be paid, in addition the emotional and financial care of her gorgeous son Dylan who is in his last month of Year 12 schooling.
To all Sally’s wonderfully close and loving family, her dear friends who she cherishes and supports no end, to her amazing work colleagues at Sunshine Coast Grammar and the large extended Sunshine Coast Grammar school students and families, to which Sally brings so many positive conversations and laughs on a daily basis, we are asking for your financial contribution. Any contribution would be so greatly appreciated, however small or large, to assist in the upkeep of Sally and Dylan’s home, whether it be to pay her rent, her utilities, her mobile phone, her vehicle running costs, food for her teenage son and in addition formal costs for Dylan for his last year at high school.
If you are unaware, Dylan is currently on his L’s and needs to continue his driving lessons to obtain his P plates, which in due course, will be paramount to Sally’s ability to be able to commute, as she will not be in a situation to drive herself for many, many months. It is basically all those things we take for granted, that we are asking for your assistance with, as they unfortunately have been taken away from Sally at this time.
We will entrust the funds raised to Sally’s brother, to distribute as he sees suitable and of course we will keep you posted as to how the funds are spent via FB.
In advance, on behalf of Sally, Dylan and her family and friends, we thank you and express our deep gratitude and appreciation for your consideration in donating to Sally’s GoFundMe. Please be assured, that funds will be spent on maintaining Sally and Dylan’s day to day expenses, so that when she is able to return home, Sally and Dylan’s future will be as stress free as possible.
Our desire is for Dylan to present to Sally in hospital, in his formal suit for his Year 12 Graduation in just under four weeks, which would bring so much joy and happiness to Sally, she is of course so, so proud of Dyl, as well all are!
There is not a day that goes past that we miss Sally’s positive FB posts, her sharing of her love to her family and friends and we wish her the speediest of recoveries and may we all assist in whatever way we can to a very loyal, considerate, caring, funny and truly beautiful soul that we all know as “Supa Sal”.
