Our mission is to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological needs of children in our care. We operate a 52 bed residential facility for youth ranging between the ages of 12 to 21. Our residents have intellectual and developmental disabilities. They come to us from all over the state, mostly through the Department of Children and Family Services (DFCS).
Morningstar is raising money to purchase sunshades for our swimming pool area. We currently have minimal shade for the residents, staff and lifeguards.
We would like the sunshades in place as quickly as possible while our vendor has agreed to hold the price. Having these would mean shelter from the hot sun while enjoying the pool area.
We would be grateful for any donation, no matter how small, toward accomplishing this goal.
