$2,108 of $35,000 goal

Raised by 45 people in 18 months
Dear Friends, and Friends of Sunny,

She has made it through the reversal surgery and has been recovering now. Thank you for your support and encouragement on this road!  You are all blessings and she is so grateful for your support in any way.

There is a significant continuing need for funds for Sunny's care.  The checkups alone will be 3000 € + or $3,700.

Funds raised will also help toward surgery costs, medication, and medical supplies she needs.

Thank you to all who have donated and helped Sunny in any way. You are tremendous blessings and she is informed of and sees every donation and message (unless anonymous/private). She is so encouraged by every donation and act of kindness. She wanted to let you know you are very appreciated and how sweet you all are, and that we need more sweet people than ever to help out (so please spread the word with everyone you know and keep thinking of creative ways to help her in your own communities. Thank you!!!

Here is the story:
My dear friend of 17 years Sunny (whose first name Stasa is the same as my last name) has suffered greatly from extremely advanced Crohn's disease, and complications relating to it for most of her life. She does not have the resources to provide for proper medical care and the health insurance in her country will not cover her necessary expenses.

She and her loved ones have searched far and wide for the most appropriate medical care. Her condition was at a dangerous point. Her friends and family have even helped post articles in the media to bring attention to her situation. I am raising money to send to her. Keep in mind that Gofundme can handle donations from other currencies since we have friends in several countries. The reason I started this type of fundraiser is because she has mentioned that her country has too many restrictions on this type of web based fundraising. So her friends have been raising money for her and then transferring her the money. GoFundMe/WePay takes their fees, and then transfers to my checking, and I then transfer the totals to her (via Western Union, or PayPal usually which has a small fee for bank trasfers). I communicate with Sunny and she tells me when to transfer and via which method. I always add a bit of my own money in the transfer to Sunny's account(s) to help reduce costs to make it 100% clear that she receives everything that has been deposited to checking. Sunny has received transfers already and has very much appreciated them! If she is ever physically unable to receive the transfers I send to her, her parents will receive them to give to her.

Again, you are welcome to contact her, or I can put you in touch with her if you need to confirm anything at all. We want everything to be very clear and helpful. Sunny and her friends are hoping this will cover many of her needs. It would be an incredible joy to see her receive the care she needs. Please consider contributing. Every cent counts, small or large. Feel free to contact us if there is another way you prefer to donate.   There are other methods of donation and organizations in slovenia are collecting money as well.  Please contact me if you need the IBAN, Paypal, or other payment methods for Sunny's care.

Please also keep Sunny close in prayer.
Thank you, and Bless you.
Sincerely,
Chris

The reversal surgery is planned as soon as funds are collected, hopefully this month, March 2018! (let's make it happen) Sunny asked me to mention "that the surgery will hopefully give me a bit of my independence back cause being totally dependent on mum at the age of 40 is no fun" Any amount is appreciated. Teamwork! :)

Dear Friends, Sunny's reversal surgery is supposed to happen very soon. The challenge is they are currently asking for payment up front. So, we're hoping and praying that is not the case, but either way, funds will be needed until everything is done and healed and bills paid. Please keep giving and please keep Sunny in prayer. Thank you all for your generosity and encouragement to Sunny over the years and for all of the new friends and donors as well. Bless you.

A special note from Sunny regarding her October birthday, "It's my birthday soon and this year i have only one wish to get enough money for the surgery and treatment. I don't want to offend anyone but please instead of sending me birthday cards (don't get me wrong i do LOVE b'day cards) put the money you'd spend for the card into my fund instead please. Yes even if it's one euro or dollar it does count!" Also as always we have other ways you can send via IBAN, or Paypal, etc so let us know and we'll provide you the necessary info if you prefer those methods instead. Thank you all for considering and keeping Sunny in prayer. She still has enormous financial needs for her medical bills and upcoming surgery. Bless you.
