Sun Valley Denver Days Celebration

Denver Days is an initiative Mayor Michael B. Hancock created to help neighbors get to know neighbors and get involved with their communities.  Ink Monstr is hosting the Sun Valley Celebration for our 4th year in a row - and we're looking to make a bigger impact than ever!

The SunValley Community Block Party is open to the public and free for all who attend.

Last year, we helped 293 families with school supplies to the tune of 23,055 items for the youth of Sun Valley- and we ran out before getting through all the families and attendees. With over half of its population under the age of 17, Sun Valley is the second largest low income neighborhood in Denver. On August 4th Ink Monstr will be hosting a Denver Days Block party to benefit the families of the Sun Valley Community.

Sixty-nine percent of the families to receive supplies last year make less than $12k per year- making it incredibly difficult to buy the supplies needed for a successful school year.  Sun Valley is one of Denver’s evolving neighborhoods and it is also home to many underserved youth that are in need of back to school supplies and resources.

Ink Monstr is seeking donations so that we can successfully provide a fun and safe event with the much needed resources for the families of this community.

Putting together a huge block party for the entire neighborhood is no easy task, but we are more than happy to put in the work every year and get back the endless smiles it brings! We are always looking for donations and sponsors to help up provide great entertainment, giveaways and of course school supplies, food and clothing for this community.  As we get closer to the event we are always looking for sponsors to donate giveaways, set up a booth and provide resources for the community or donations of school supplies that will be given out to all the kids to set them up for a great school year!

We are seeking your donations to provide SCHOOL SUPPLIES, FOOD, CLOTHING, family oriented activities, arts-n-crafts, and help pay for the event production.

EVERY PENNY COUNTS!! PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN.

We are expecting between 1000 and 1500 attendees, with appearances and performances from local artists, local musicians, and city officials.

Ink Monstr is not only a member of the Sun Valley community we are committed to impacting and supporting it in a positive way by providing a path for youth to grow, learn and be successful. Through internships and partnership with local agencies Ink Monstr has trained dozens of local teens by providing them with a creative work environment, a strong work ethic and positive role models.

Ink Monstr would like to expand these services by ensuring that all the youth in this neighborhood can start school with the supplies they need. We are reaching out for donations to make sure all the children in this neighborhood can start the school year with the tools needed to succeed.
