We envision a community of peace, happiness and vibrant health where people live in harmony with each other, and a community that recognizes our intrinsic interconnectedness with the wholeness of nature and our impact on the health of the Earth. And a community where shared knowledge and wisdom is at the core of it's values.

We aspire to offer a space where community can come together and reciprocate communal support, share experiences through celebrations & events, and to empower, educate and inspire individuals through educational programs and shared wisdom. Our ultimate goal for Sunrhiza: Centre for Community Herbalism is to become a fully functioning Herb School grounded in Vitalism and Traditional healing models and one that incorporates music therapy and eco-spiritual therapy.

Sunrhiza was cultivated from the understanding and appreciation of our interconnection between plants, people and the Earth. We feel that holistic educational programs grounded in heart-centered teachings and traditional wisdom are vitally important. Our programs, reflecting this feeling, focus on personal growth & well-being, community building and education. Our programs hold space in a calm, engaging and healthy learning environment.

Sunrhiza provides people from all walks of life a direct experience of what it means to live a quality of life that is healing on all levels. From ecological sustainability to social justice, personal and emotional health and ultimately to spiritual awareness and appreciation for all life. Our model mirrors the way the ecology functions and operates, in a collective and collaborative manner with feedback loops that nourish while also receiving. Accessibility and ecological sustainability are at the core of our model and mission - one that will ultimately support low-cost community outreach programs and contributions to organizations protecting ecological systems such as flora, wildlife and natural environments.

Community herbalists are deeply engaged with the people and plants living within the local community and environment. Community herbalism is a heart-centered approach to healthcare and a grounded practice of herbal medicine connecting plants & people. Community herbalism is immersed in healing practices that promote the health of all living systems through purposeful action and holistic education rooted in sacred wisdom.

Our ultimate goal is to form the 'Sunrhiza School of Herbalism' in Brooklyn, NY!
another goal, is for the preservation, conservation and protection of the Pine Forest in southern New Jersey. - including collaboration with United Plant Savers

- initial rental and renovation cost for our space which will include an office and classroom
- legal fees to set up organization
- materials for Programs including office/classroom supplies
- classroom flutes for students and participants: NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTE HEALING: HEART MEDICINE
