The What
Summit 413 is Jermaine Middleton’s mission to become the first American-born black man to climb Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. As a Georgia-resident, Jermaine prepares to embark on this action-packed journey. Over the next eight months, he will be completing a full Ironman triathlon, marathons, skydiving from 30,000 feet, and tackling the 22,837-foot Mount Aconcagua in Argentina and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

The Why
Motivated by his Christian faith, Jermaine named this historic adventure Summit 413 because of his favorite Bible verse—Philippians 4:13. Jermaine has a strong passion for serving others especially children and young adults. This monumental climb will benefit charities whose main purpose is to have a positive impact on youth. One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised (excluding the cost) will go toward Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (50%), Atlanta Dream Center (25%), and the Four Corners Group, Inc. (25%).
