Summer Leadership Training

I’ve never fundraised before, so this seems like a good place to start! My name is Suzanne. I’m a freshman in college with big dreams for this summer. I have joined a church on campus at the University of Illinois called Illini Life Christian Fellowship. Illini Life is a part of a network of churches on college campuses (called Collegiate) aimed at reaching students like me. Each year, they host summer Leadership Training (LT) programs and I’m going to one of these at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado!
This LT program is designed to equip and strengthen college students in their faith and character and to empower them to boldly and respectfully share that faith in Christ with others.
It is common for people to ask for financial support for mission trips, and while this LT program isn’t a traditional mission trip, it is a summer of mission where I’ll be built into and hopefully used by God in reaching my peers for Christ. As a result, I want to ask you to help me in the program fees.
The program with travel to and from will end up costing me ~$850. As a college student, this is a burden that I’d love to invite you into. I’m inviting people to give gifts of $150, $75, or $35 (or anywhere they feel led). My goal is to raise the funds for the program by May 10th!
