Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind

The Georgia Lions' Camp for the Blind is a camp  designed for Visually Impaired children and adults from 8 to 80.  The camp programs stress personal motivation, self confidence, leadership and self-reliance in a fun filled outdoor atmosphere.  Programs include swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, rock wall climbing, adaptive sports, Arts and crafts, talent shows, campfires, and much, much more. All money donated to the camp will contribute to increasing programing venues like beeper ball, basketball and crafts to include but not limited to clay pottery, glass blowing, tie dying, etc.  and adding venues that will allow campers to forget about the stress of the world of the visually impaired and involve themselves in daily activities like anyone else in their lives, which will help to  create memories of a life-time. The Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind is like not other camp in Georgia.  Here disabilities fade into the background. The camp empower those who are struggling  with acceptance; it encourages the pursuit of dreams.  At Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind campers play like there is no tomorrow, while providing a physically and emotionally safe environment at all times.

For the camp to continue to bring these awesome programs to those who need the spirit of Recreation, Socialization and Rehabilitation in a camp spirit we are relying on your support.  Whatever contribution you can make will help bring long term memories to a person who deserves to feel cherished.
