If you knew you could touch peoples life and help change the world, would you do it?
I have a dream to end the death penalty in the United States and the world. I know we can do this and we all have something to contribute to the effort. I also know that my voice is a little bit different than most people when it comes to this issue. That is because in 1986 I was stabbed and left for dead and my father was murdered right in front of me. Our attacker received a death sentence against the wishes of myself and my family. I worked hard for over ten years to get his sentence changed to LIFE.

What I do is share my story around the world. I work as a hair stylist. I enjoy cutting hair - I do it because I love to connect with the people I'm serving, and I'm pretty good at it! I share my story whenever I can - not because I want to relive a horrific experience, but because I know that in telling my story of what happened to me and my dad and our family, I can help people understand the healing power of forgiveness. My voice and my story moves people and helps people who don't have a story like mine understand why the death penalty does not meet the needs of murder victim family members.
I'm inviting you to invest the money I need to free me to do this work more effectively. With your support, mine will be a more effective and more powerful voice to help end executions by spreading Love, Compassion, Forgiveness and Healing in the world. I always end my presentations with this: "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me." And then I change it to include everyone hearing my voice. "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with ALL OF US!"
