Shed that Foam: Styrofoam Recycling
www.mcdef.org . We're raising money to keep Styrofoam out of landfills and far away from our watershed. Styrofoam takes many, many years to break down and is detrimental to our environment. Our volunteers dedicate a day each week to make the rounds and we all thank you for your support! The Styrofoam collected at our sites get up-cycled into new products.+ Read More
Our three sites are open and our volunteers are picking up full bags of Styrofoam weekly. We want to continue to keep Styrofoam out of our landfills for the foreseeable future. We will close this particular gofundme campaign on July 5. Can you help us get to $1,000!
We're getting there...but still have more funds to raise! Small donations from many go a long way! Help us keep Styrofoam from landfills.
To my Algonquin friends - did you know that The Environmental Defenders and Village of Algonquin partner to keep Styrofoam out of our landfills? You can take your clean Styrofoam of any color to our collection shed at 110 Meyer Drive (Algonquin Public Works) 24-7. And, if you can donate a little to our "Shed that Foam" fundraiser, we can keep this going for a long time!
