Help Kayla sing in London!

Dear friends,

It is with great excitement that I announce that I have accepted an offer to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London for one year starting this Fall!

Many of you know that I have aspired to study and live in London for some time and it's a great honor to have this opportunity.
Not only will I be moving to London and experiencing its rich culture, I will also be taking voice lessons, studying languages, training dramatically, performing, and ultimately receiving my Master's Degree in my chosen, fulfilling discipline, an invaluable privilege.

While I'm fortunate to have received a modest entrance scholarship from the academy, need-based and additional funding is very limited for graduate and international students.
I will be needing some help with funds that would go toward tuition, housing, and emergency savings.

This truly is the opportunity of a lifetime that I feel will further develop my artistry and bring me one step closer to the career that I have been working toward for many years. Follwing this dream has entailed a lot of discipline and sacrifice but has also brought me so much joy and gratification to the degree that I couldn't imagine pursuing any other career path. Additionally, one of the things I've loved most about being a singer is that it has brought me to incredible places and allowed me to meet amazing people who share my passions and this endeavor would be no different.

If you have followed and supported my career, are a patron of the arts, enjoy my singing, or have a generous spirit, please consider donating. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you have any questions about my degree program or what I'll be doing in London, please don't hesitate to ask!

This is a video of me singing one of my favorite German lieder "Immer leiser wird mein Schlummer" by Johannes Brahms. It's one of the pieces I performed for my audition and I hope you enjoy it.
