Student Witnesses Home Fire

Today, my students alerted me to a fire raging across the street from our school.  Sadly, one of the students who was watching the fire from one of the classrooms was a student who lived in one of the affected buildings. She and her two siblings attend our school. My student Melanie will be graduating June 15th. Our luncheon is tomorrow. As of now, her family is displaced.

Melanie has lost everything including pets and birthday money she had been saving for years.
We, her teachers, and the staff of Avondale Logandale School are trying to do whatever we can for our students we care for deeply. The money will go to her family of 6 for their immediate needs. Any amount will help and would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for your care and concern.
