Student Journalists' House Fire

On February 23, a house fire destroyed the home of Hailey Bryant, Liz Theriault, Olivia Shipsey and their two other roomates. Hailey, Liz, and Liv are sophomore journalism students at the University of Maine. Collectively, I call them the "Gillies" short for The Gilmore Girls, a television show featuring a strong, young female journalist — exactly what these women are.

They are absolutley amazing students and people, and they lost everything they didn't have with them at the time of the fire. When I asked them what they needed, they inquired whether or not I still had extra copies of the 2016 Election Day newspaper they made during our Intro to Journalism course they took in their first semester in college. 

Please donate whatever you can to help these women and their two roommates get back on their feet as they process this tragedy during the middle of their semester.
