Muffins' Medical Fund for Stroke Recovery & Rehab

Our sweet baby girl Muffins Marie had emergency surgery to treat severe pyometra (uterus infection) on December 11, 2018. After her surgery, which was successful, she suffered 2 strokes and now desperately needs intensive physical therapy and 24/7 care. Her mama Cortney has been providing her care routine (baths where Muffins exercises her limbs and rebuilds those neural pathways,  muscle massages, weight-supported walks, cuddles, etc.) but her progress will be expedited with professional care at a veterinarian's physical therapy location. We are currently figuring costs and getting quotes from several local rehabilitation and neurological facilities, but as all pet owners know, veterinarian bills and treatment costs add up quickly. Cortney, 23, is unable to work in order to care for Muffins and has already paid over $1.5K for treatment. Unfortunately, our savings are running out and we did not have pet insurance before this traumatic set of events occurred. 

While Muffins' prognosis is currently positive  (she is eating regularly and showing lots of improvement in digestion and interaction), we do need further testing and professional rehabilitation measures to get her walking without the support of a harness.

We are so incredibly grateful for any help you are able to offer, but right now we are unable to afford to have tests run to figure out the next step in Muffins' treatment.
