ARDENT PURPOSE and KLASS presents the second annual Youth Stronger Tomorrow - Back to School Event.
Often we hear that the youth are our future, and like anything in life, what we do to invest in it today will determine what it brings forth tomorrow!
Join us as we embark on a yearly mission to equip, support and propel inner-city youths, in the Stamford/Norwalk area, to having powerful, purposeful and successful school years. We aim to provide backpacks and school supplies, as well as provide guidance and mentorship for these youths. We look to be a great example and empower them to build and achieve their goals. Last year we provided for over 350 kids!! AND LOOK TO DO THE SAME AND MORE THIS YEAR!
A police officer cannot have a successful day at work without his duty belt. A plumber cannot have a successful day at work without his toolbox. A doctor or lawyer cannot have a successful day at work without their equipment. No more so can a student have a successful school year without essential tools like backpacks, notebooks, and writing utensils. Students who are ill-prepared from the beginning hold out much hope for a promising school year, lacking confidence and self-esteem because they don't have as much as other, more fortunate children.
The beginning of a new school year is a crucial time for young students. The kids are excited, as they set out to take on their classes, reconnect with friends and tackle the challenges the school year will bring. Parents have their own challenges as some face the economic pinch of sending their children to school and maintaining other economic necessities.
This is where we come in! Together we can make a difference and empower these children with the tools and the confidence they need to be successful!
The money we raise will go towards purchasing backpacks, notebooks, binders, lunch boxes, calculators, crayons, colored pencils and more to equip students with the Essential tools necessary for starting the school year right. During our event on August 18th, 2018 at the Stamford Boys & Girls Club, we will provide games, activities, and mentorship for students ranging from elementary school to high school.
