Shyla's battle against cancer

Dear friends,
We are reaching out for support to raise funds for my niece, 3 year old Shyla and her family.
On November 28th, 2016, Shyla was admitted to the hospital Intensive Care Unit with dangerously elevated blood pressure and failing kidneys. She had also been experiencing vomiting, nausea, constipation, and changes in mood and appetite. Doctors discovered that the source of her discomfort and pain was a tumour in her bladder and there were also specs found in her lungs. To our complete shock and devastation, Shyla was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma (high risk).
Shyla has brought us pure joy from the day she was born and we are determined to fight for our brave and bubbly little girl. We welcome your prayers and support as we face a 42-week treatment plan that will combine chemotherapy and radiation. Shyla and her family have a long journey ahead, one that is emotionally, physically, and financially draining. Shyla also has a baby brother name Tyson who has been a source of comfort for Shyla during this time, however, the parents are also needing to juggle the responsibilities that come with caring for a seriously ill toddler and also an infant.
The news of the cancer was truly heartbreaking and devastating for the family but the parents remained strong for Shyla putting aside tears so they could surround a very scared Shyla with positive energy to battle this disease. We are reaching out for your support to alleviate some of the financial strain on the family. Your donations will go towards unexpected medical costs, supplies, wage-loss assistance, and other financial costs that may arise.
If you are unable to give, we completely understand and we only ask that you share this campaign among your networks. Shyla is experiencing post chemotherapy symptoms currently, but we believe she is able to draw strength from all the love she is surrounded with.
