Strength for Shak

Donation protected
On September 14, 2017, Sheikhnur “Shak” Jimale, was in a very serious car accident with four of his friends.  Sadly one young man lost his life that day.

Shak is a 17-year-old junior at Shakopee High School,  he is a very outgoing kid that loves being active and keeping others happy.  You would never see him upset.  Shak is well liked by family, friends, and school staff.  Everyone who meets Shak, leaves with a feeling of positivity and the feeling that something great was in their presence.

As of  6 pm today, Shak will be undergoing a surgery to realign his spine.  Currently, he is on life support and sedated.  When the doctors do wake him, he is in a lot of pain and tries to remove his tubes.  If Shak does remove the tubes he will not survive so the doctor keeps him sedated.  He has blood in his lungs and internal injuries.  The doctors can not yet tell his long-term prognosis but after surgery may have a better idea of his prognosis.

We ask for your continued prayers for Shak, his mother and his 6 siblings, guidance for the doctors and nurses, and for the many friends and family that are worried about Shak.

As a mother who has sat by her child’s bedside in a hospital not knowing if my child was going to make it I can honestly say that the last thing I wanted to think about was money.  Please help ease some of the financial burdens that such a devastating accident has caused.  The Jimale family is facing astronomical medical bills so please give what you can.

ShakoStrong committee member Kristine Robinson will be withdrawing funds to give to Shak's family.
