Random Acts is staging the World Premiere of STRANGEST THINGS! THE MUSICAL - and we need your help. Chicago is the perfect place to launch the musical parody of a such a beloved show, and we are proud to present theater in such an exciting city. Please join us in bringing STRANGEST THINGS! THE MUSICAL to the stage for the first time ever.
The World Premiere
Random Acts is a privately funded company dedicated to presenting theatre with no expectations. Since March 2015, we have presented 9 productions (including four world premieres and one Chicago premiere) through which the company featured the work of 91 actors, 12 writers, 7 directors and 14 designers while performing at 9 venues including 5 theatres, a bar, an empty storefront, an open cafe, and a gymnasium.
Strangest Things! The Musical is a 90-minute musical parody. Set to the intoxicating beats of your favorite 80's hits, Strangest Things! is a new musical mystery from the twisted minds behind Barney the Elf. Lovingly ripped off from the hit Netflix series, Strangest Things! The Musical takes us back to a time when the hair was huge, the music was loud, and parents were nowhere to be found. Opening March 3, 2017 at the Greenhouse Theater Center.

The 411
We're trying to raise $1500 to offset some of our pre-opening costs. You can earn some ace stuff, like show tickets, original artwork, and boss merch! Plus, 100% of the raised funds, whether we meet or exceed our goal, will go towards the production and its team.
Here's the Beef
Company members of Random Acts work for almost nothing to make our dream productions a reality.
Past productions include Ladies Night of the Living Dead (top-seller of the 2015 Chicago Fringe Festival), All Our Twilight (also by Bryan Renaud and Emily Schmidt), and Unbound.
Keep Diggin', Watson
Poor af? We get it, which is why we know that anything helps - whether it's a $1 donation, a Facebook share, a tweet or even just shouting about us into the wind.
