Stormy: support for emergency care

Stormy was found after several days of living in the floodwaters in Hollister.  He is in extreme shock and likely suffering from exposure to toxins from the waters.  He is in emergency veterinary care right now as they work quickly to attempt to stabilize him and save his life. 

Estimates for his critical care are well over $2,500 at this time as he needs many tests and treatments to control his seizures and keep him stable. 

(Note:  the owners of this dog chose not to provide a safe rescue for this dog during the floods and have continued to allow him and another dog to live in these vile conditions.  When rescue approached them to provide Stormy with the lifesaving care he now needs, they chose not to and instead surrendered both dogs to the care of the rescue.  So far, only Stormy is in distress and the other dog, we are now calling River, appears to be stable.)  

We have asked the emergency care vet if they could take payments directly from donors and they cannot accomodate that.  The rescue has paid for the initial 24 hrs of care so far.  Any support from the community for Stormy's care will help cover those high initial expenses as well as any additional costs to help us get this boy back to health.  If you prefer not to use GFM account, you can donate directly to the rescue using the PayPal account (under friends and family) to [email redacted].
