Stop the North Ave Name Change

North Avenuen has been a destination that many of us natives have come to know, like, and appreciate. I remember cruising North Ave as a teen as well as driving down North Ave to the Rocket and Chief Drive Ins with my parents and siblings.  Now, our transplanted civic leaders want to change history becasue they feel it will improve the community by changing its name. What proof do they have other than believing it themselves.  They have failed to show one example of how changing history has benefitted a community. North Ave has always been North Ave long before these "leaders" tranaplanted themselves into our community.  Let us let them know we wont stand still and let them wreck our community slowly. This money will allow us to hire an attorney to fight the city, (as well as Diane Sweinke and the GJ Chamber. ) first with  injunctions or restaraining orders and with ALL legal proceedures necessary to stop the change. I refuse to let the City counsel few do what they want instead of what the community needs.

If we do not meet this goal, I will personally return all money raised to those who donated or it will be donated to a local non profit organization that will use it to help our community in a productive and positive manner.
