Hello, we would like to thank everyone for your support and donations. Our case has been settled and we are moving out. We have learned the total cost for attorney fees to fight unjust evictions exceeded $6000. We need $4616 to cover the legal fees remaining balance and a donation to City Life/Vida Urbana to support other families who are fighting displacement in Boston. Again, thank you.

We live in an Italianate style two-family home that was built in 1859. Our house was recently purchased by a developer and now my husband, a disabled veteran, and I are facing an unjust eviction simply because the new landlord, Two Dons, LLC, wants to tear down the building to build nine units of condos. We are fighting for the right to remain in our home and we need to raise $6000 to pay for legal fees.
Our case has gone to court and we have won our most recent motion, but we need financial support to continue the fight.
We have non-financial support from our community and we are working with City Life Vida Urbana, a non-profit community organization, along with Team Alaska Street, a group of organized neighbors to help us fight this injustice.
Your support is needed too. Please consider making a donation that would be applied to legal fees to fight this unjust eviction.
We are fighting not just for ourselves but for all communities facing aggressive development and resident displacement. Many longtime homeowners and residents throughout Boston are being evicted from their homes by investors and developers.
