Steve Ward Medical Fund

Steve Ward, a vital part of the Marion Toyota team for over 15 years, and proud father and husband was recently diagnosed with cancer. Although this news is tough to hear, we all know Steve as one of the most focused and toughest people around. Proud father of four boys, Steve and wife Jennifer currently provide around the clock care for their two youngest, Camden and Trenton. Camden is 10 years old, while Trenton is 12 and has autism. This requires extensive time, effort, and patience. Steve and his wife have always excelled in their care and compassion, and we hope to do all that we can to help them in these difficult times.

Steve was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in the oral cavity on January 8th. Treatment for this is quite extensive, including a 10 hour surgery, removal of a portion of his jaw, lymph node removal, and reconstruction. Initial time at the hospital will be 10 to 14 days, where he will come home at that time. Further treatments will continue, including radiation.

Total time out for Steve will likely be in the area of 5 months. Money raised will be used to help pay for insurance premiums, deductibles, and the extensive medical bills while Steve is off and with no income, as Jennifer is a proud homemaker.

In times like these, we've always prided ourselves on being able to step up. The financial burden is something that is tough for anyone to handle, but we hope to ease the minds of Steve and his family to ensure the best recovery for him.
