We have some sad news...

Beloved Cubensis (Grateful Dead Tribute)  drummer STEVE HARRIS passed away Sunday February 12th, 2017 after a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer. He was 49 years old.

Steve played drums and sang for Cubensis for 22 years
until his illness forced him to the sidelines. His vocal prowess was remarkable, and many people referred to him as the "heartbeat" of the band.

Steve left behind 2 children, sizeable medical bills, and funeral expenses.  He also left and many musical memories for all of us.  His family would really appreciate the support from our musical community.

Please show your support by making a donation of any size. We know Steve will be Grateful in Death and Not Forgotten!

In addition to funds raised here, we are dedicating all our Cubensis shows this weekend (2-17 to 2-19) to Steve's memory. Beginning Friday Feb, 17 at the Golden Sails Hotel in Long Beach, CA. The entire nights proceeds will be donated to Steve's family.

For show information visit us at Cubensis.com

Your help is very much appreciated!

The Go Fund Me site is back up and accepting donations. The posting or rumor that only vegetarian dishes should brought to the memorial is not true. We are not using their cooking facilities, so bring whatever you want. Thank you

There will also be an all-ages family event and "official" memorial gathering on Sunday March 26 with potluck food and songs by Cubensis and Steve's other musician friends, at Temple Beth Shalom, 3635 Elm St in Long Beach, 1pm. All are welcome to celebrate his life. All ages, all faiths, no admission charge.
