Steps PDX

Since October 2017, Founder and Artistic Director, Kathryn Harden has created a safe space to preserve dance as an art form and nurture successful dancers. Offering various styles of movement under one roof at a professional level, educating the community on culture and history of dance, as well as inspiring each other to be the best version of themselves through dance, are the driving forces behind what Steps PDX stands for. Everyone is encouraged to learn and grow thanks to a passionate staff that has trained professionally around the world.

At Steps PDX we value giving back to our community. All proceeds from "Full Circle" will go towards our new outreach program, "Steps for the Youth". As part of bridging the gap for all dancers and non-dancers, we partner with local schools in the Portland area to provide dance to the youth. Our program gives additional opportunities and resources for youth of all backgrounds, by allowing them a platform to learn various dance styles and encourage creativity in a safe environment. As we grow “Steps for the Youth”, we continue to increase involvement with schools, award scholarships to more students, provide proper dance shoes and training equipment for students to earn a better education and offer ongoing free classes/workshops.
