Stephanie Fights Lyme

*UPDATED THIS INFO IN LIGHT OF ALL THE SUDDEN NEW INTEREST*

After 15 years of declining health, in 2016 we finally had a breakthrough diagnosis: Lyme Disease.

The Chronic Fatugue Syndrome, the fibromyalgia, the arthritis, the epilepsy, the 7 miscarriages, the worsening vision and neurological problems, the tremors, and a whole host of other symptoms - it's all been because of this insidious disease.

The good news is we finally have an answer.
The bad news is it's going to be one heck of a fight.
Doctors knowledgeable in chronic/late stage Lyme are few and far between, and most treatments are not covered at all by insurance.

And so we find ourselves here: we had a coveted appointment this past fall to start intense treatment with a leading specialist in Idaho (one we have seen CURE people of seemingly hopeless cases of Lyme,) but the costs are astronomical. All of the bills for this particular doctor are due in full at treatment and are not billable like a traditional hospital might allow. Other supplementary treatments are sometimes able to be put on a payment plan, and we often take on debt to cover others.

So we are asking for help to raise funding specifically for medical bills. In the last three months alone we have spent over $9.1k on my healthcare already . Our out of pocket costs for the next year (just for me alone) are estimated to be another $20,000, and that's with us forgoing a number of recommended treatments and therapies to keep the costs down.

At the moment, we are already underwater on a number of previous bills, and will be unfortunately listing our home for sale by the summer in order to attempt to get our head above the waves a bit. We're heartbroken, especially since we're not just losing our first ever real HOME, we will also be losing our school district and the school at which our autistic son is now finally thriving. But unless we somehow stumbled into an additional 25k or so at this point, there's simply no way to keep our home AND keep getting treatment this year. It would literally bankrupt us. So please know, we aren't simply holding out our hands and asking others to carry us: we are TRYING. We are trying so very hard and making huge sacrifices to try to do this ourselves. We have given up so much over the last decade and we continue to try to find a way to make it all work somehow, but the bills are simply too big to somehow "budget" them in.

So we find ourselves totally dependent on supernatural provision and the generosity of others. We're so appreciative of any help we receive, and it's my most sincere wish to get my health to a place where I can be able to contribute back in a meaningful way to make up for this enormous investment into me. I don't want to be trapped by this disease anymore: I want to spend the rest of my life giving back for the many generous ways so many have you have poured into us over the years.

Thanks for your time reading this, your prayers as we take on this year of treatments head on, and your financial support if you're able to give it.

"And to Him to is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us."
