It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Steffi Stuetz, a young associate with us at Realty Executives Vision. We have lost a colleague and a dear friend far too soon. Most importantly however, 3 very young children have lost their mom. We hope to see our community - especially those that knew her - come together and help out in this time of need. Please, let’s step up and show that we can be champions for the little ones she left behind.
Like many young Realtors, Steffi took a chance by investing in herself. She did not have insurance. She had nothing to leave behind for her children. She did not come from a family of means. And now, her family does not have the resources to properly bury their mother. That is what we are asking for. Please contribute what you can, and please contribute soon. We hope to raise enough to hold a service befitting a truly beautiful soul that was taken from us far too soon.
Steffi was so kind and compassionate, she would be the first in line to help someone else. Everyone that met her came away better for the experience because of her sunny disposition, sense of humour and gentle spirit. She was one of those people: always positive, warm and sweet. And she was a bright young star, full of potential and promise. She had that old-school work ethic to go along with her intelligence, and she put in the long, hard hours to better herself. In the last while, she found herself in a place where her gifts were recognized and valued, where her career and sense of self were on the rise, and where she felt inspired and hopeful. She was excited to be setting a shining example for her children.
This is a tragedy for us and for three little ones who are too young to even understand what is going on. Let’s do this because it is the right thing to do and because this family needs it. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and warm-wishes. And a heartfelt thank you to those who choose to contribute.

My name is Darlene Reid and I co-own the real estate brokerage that Steffi worked for. I was also her business partner on our real estate team. I have been a friend of hers for four years. I work out of Edmonton, Alberta where I was born and rasied. The funds will be applied as follows:
$9,557.94 at McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta on October 16, 2017.
The remainder, less the GoFundMe fees, will be placed into long term GICs in trust for her children in equal thirds with the intention of them being released to the children as they reach the age of majority for them to use towards post secondary education or the purchase of an investment.
