Steeler's Cancer Treatment

On Friday September 22nd, my mom got the bad news that Steeler has cancer. Steeler is a sweet, loving boy that came into my family's life about 4 years ago. My brother found him on a dog rescue site, he was 24 hours away from being euthanized in a kill shelter, and his picture tugged at all of our hearts.  Steeler had been shuffled around and was in and out of foster care and shelters, all while he was already plagued with severe arthritis and a lot of trust issues.  After a lot of love and cuddles, good food and excercise, the true Steeler came out. He is a goofy boy that LOVES to eat, loves his stuffed toys and loves my mom more than anything. He follows her everywhere. 

Steeler needs to have some more testing done to absolutely determine the type of cancer, how far along it is and if we caught it early enough to treat it.  After an emergency surgery a few weeks ago with the family kitty, who was gravely ill, money went quickly. Both Steeler and Twig going in and out of the vet has been pricey for my family, so I wanted to help. We are hoping to raise enough money to have Steelers test done, to see if his cancer has matastisized or if he can fight this off, and to make sure he has the medication he needs in the meantime to keep him comfortable.

Anyone who has been to our home knows our dogs are a huge part of our family, so I am asking that anyone who can, to help in any way so we can make him comfortable for his last little while with us. Thank you!
