Help Dan Move & Stay Insured

UPDATE:

I recently discovered that Budget Rental offers a 16 foot truck for around1745 with a car dolly, and with unlimited miles for one week. With the cost of gas and a "just in case" amount, I estimate I can move for around 3000 dollars.  I only receive a little over 800 a month on disability; any amount given will be more than appreciated.  If just 150 people gave 20 dollars or 300 gave 10 dollars, that would be awesome.

I am disabled, attending college online, and I am losing my Medicare Complete health coverage in Iowa. Iowa is defunding Medicare Complete and other parts of medicaid for tens of thousands of Iowans and this is forcing me to move.

However, Arizona is one of the few states still offering Medicare Complete and I need help moving  to keep the medical insurance I already have, to avoid further financial hardship, and finish my college education.  My insurance reverts back to original Medicare January1, 2016.

I cannot afford the 100 to 150 a month I would have to pay for original medicare, additionally, and I would have reduced health care benefits compared to the plan I have today. Arizona is still offering  Medicare Complete, which would enable me to continue my forward progress in recovering my health and finishing school. I have been working so hard over the last 7 years to actually give myself a life I have never had. I am going back to school, working with my doctors, and doing all the right things that we are supposed to do in order to make forward progress. I need help to keep this progress moving forward instead of backwards.
There is also a strong possiblity that I can become homeless because of Iowa's Medicaid fiasco.

Fifteen years ago, I had a great business in Arizona, but in 2002 became very ill with Psoriatic Arthritis. An insidious disease, it attacks the skin, joints, and organs. When I first contracted P.A., I could barely walk for about the first two years and had difficulty doing much of anything. I went through severe depression and I was additionally diagnosed with a thyroid condition, hypothyroidism that exacerbated my depression and physical well- being.

Over the last 13 years I have had, and/or been hospitalized with, a heart attack, pancreatitis, severe and dangerous blood clots, debilitating back issues several times, and the skin on my feet at one time was cracked and bleeding so bad that I could barely walk.
On November 18. 2015 I was diagnosed with a colon infection that set me back again.
I need to keep Medicare Complete in order to continue improving my health and so I can finish school.

In 2011 I took a risk and decided to return to school
and pursue a Masters in Family Counseling. I graduated with an Associate Degree from Northeast Iowa Community College, with Honors, in Human Services, and now enrolled in Grand Canyon University Online pursuing my Bachelor of Psychology and then a Masters in Family Counseling. It has not been easy due to health and financial issues, but I am determined to finish this goal that will ultimately help me to earn an income again, in addition to helping society.

My dream for the remainder of my life is to have my own counseling practice and help families through difficult times,  I also plan to offer one day of free counseling to the poor after graduation, because they so often need help but cannot afford it
I want my life to inspire others to never give up, no matter how hard life may be, because with God, and through the faith he has given us, all things are possible. I am reaching out for help and to offer an opportunity to collaborate with me in this move that will not only be a blessing to me, but will help empower others in the future through the services I will offer.
