Star Valley Track Fundraiser

Our Star Valley Boy's Track & Field 4x800 meter relay team (comprised of Wyatt Peck, Wesley Kallgren, Asefa Wetzel and Shane Henderson) recently accomplished an amazing feat by winning at the Simplot Games in an outstanding time of 8:00.82!
That time was so outstanding that it also qualified our team for the New Balance Nationals Indoor prep track and field competition that will be held March 10-12 at the historic Armory Track & Field Center in New York City! This is an extraordinary opportunity to have Star Valley represented at a prep national championship for, what we believe to be, the first time in history.
As you may anticipate, a trip to New York is not cheap. Our four athletes and two coaches will not be able to represent Star Valley at this event without the community's support. We have created this fundraising account to provide our Star Valley community the opportunity to provide that support as a sign of appreciation for our team's hard work and the honor they bring us with each outstanding performance. We encourage all to donate as much or as little as possible, knowing that any amount will be deeply appreciated and necessary.

The following is additional information about this campaign. It was set up by Charles Clinger, a resident of Thayne, Wyoming and former SVHS athlete. Charles is a friend of the team and its athletes and coaches. All funds donated will be used to directly pay for travel and expenses of the team and coaches as they go travel to New York City to compete and to gain educational opportunities. In particular, the funds will pay for airfare, lodging, meals, educational tours and incidental expenses. The funds will be collected and administered through Lincoln County School District No. 2 Education Foundation and then paid to Coach Ty Draney to reimburse and pay for expenses. Your support is greatly appreciated by everyone involved!
